Typically, science journalism covers new studies that have not yet been replicated with very little to indicate that this is really a fairly preliminary result. Use behaviorism and video games as a didactic tool

Existing video games provide incentive for sustained play in terms of both positive and negative feedback, as well as 'punishment' and repetitive tasks. They also provide good examples of behavior shaping. Cool customer-designed electric cars.

Custom-ordered or designed electric cars that have several options built around the base or chassis, which is not unlike a skateboard. The idea is akin building blocks or Legos built around a three or four-wheeled vehicle. 1. All surfaces on vehicles are equipped with solar panels. 2. Pool spare CPU resources and sell them to biohacker types and would-be aeronautical engineers, maybe through a screensaver. Unlike seti@home, you get bitcoins in return for cycles used. Cycles are sold specifically to hackerspaces, at rates that beat amazon's, for doing things like bioinformatics and simulating air flow (stuff that has a high cpu-to-data-intensiveness ratio)
